AP Specialist

LHH is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This position will be responsible for full-cycle AP functions, vendor communication, invoice processing, reconciliations, payment processing, and supporting the broader accounting team as needed.
Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices and payment requests, including accurate GL coding
  
• Review invoices for appropriate supporting documentation and obtain missing information as needed
  
• Perform 3-way matching for raw material purchases and equivalent matching for non-PO purchases
  
• Reconcile invoices, payments, and other accounting documents as needed
  
• Respond to vendor and internal department inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  
• Prepare check runs, wire transfers, and electronic payment requests
  
• Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy AP files and records
  
• Prepare Excel spreadsheets and generate reports, including AP aging and vendor spend reports
  
• Research purchasing and vendor information within the ERP system
  
• Assist with month-end close and other accounting-related activities
  
• Provide support with Accounts Receivable cash applications as needed
  
• Assist with gathering documentation for year-end audits
  
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
  
• Follow company policies and procedures
  
• Support other accounting projects and duties as assigned
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus
  
• 2-3 years of Accounts Payable experience required
  
• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
  
• Strong ERP experience; SAP Business One experience highly preferred
  
• Experience with AI-enabled AP automation tools is a plus
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Ability to work effectively with vendors, internal departments, and other members of the finance team
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  
• Flexible team player who is comfortable taking on a variety of accounting responsibilities
  

Pay Details: $23.00 to $26.44 per hour
