Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN)

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of dialysis services and patient care. The RN will provide education to patients, supervise Dialysis Technicians, and adjust treatment plans in accordance with established orders and care plans. Key responsibilities also include monitoring patient outcomes, administering medications, participating in quality improvement projects, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team, including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists.

This is a chronic, in-center position that involves traveling between multiple locations. The RN will be expected to work scheduled shifts on any day from Monday to Saturday, depending on staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of dialysis and patient care.
• Offer education to patients regarding their treatment.
• Supervise and mentor Dialysis Technicians.
• Adjust treatment plans per standing orders and care plans.
• Monitor patient outcomes and respond accordingly.
• Administer necessary medications as prescribed.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state board or a Multi-State Compact Nurse license.
• Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
• Previous dialysis experience is required.
• Prior experience in acute or ambulatory nursing is preferred.

Shift Information

• 10-13 hour shifts available (AM and PM).
• Holiday coverage is required.
