internal tools to gather competitive intelligence and market dataProvide expert support to field teams on best practices for identifying, reporting, and leveraging competitive intelligenceConduct in-depth competitive analysis, market research, and ad hoc analytics to provide actionable insights into key competitors in the retail environmentLead survey generation and data consolidation efforts, leveraging MSFT Office Suite (Power BI, Excel, Power Query) and SQL for efficient analysisDevelop compelling data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate market trends, forecasts, and revenue analysis to stakeholdersPartner with field training departments to develop programs highlighting key market trends and empowering teams with data-driven insightsConduct comprehensive online research on direct and indirect competitor presence, branding, and digital strategiesSynthesize data from multiple sources (online research, field feedback, raw data, CRM) to create holistic reports that inform strategic decision-makingSupport corporate research initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to internal teams for business developmentProactively monitor, track, and report on shifts in retailer strategies, emerging market trends, and competitor activitiesAnalyze competitors' key initiatives, product launches, marketing campaigns, and other relevant activities to provide a comprehensive view of their strategiesIdentify potential leads for new business tools and solutions, establish contact, and schedule discovery meetings to explore partnership opportunitiesUtilize advanced Excel skills (including Power Query) to automate reporting processes and perform complex data analysisApply SQL proficiency to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from databases for reporting and ad-hoc analysisTranslate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for stakeholders at all levelsContribute to forecasting efforts by leveraging historical data, market trends, and statistical modeling techniquesPerform revenue analysis to identify trends, growth opportunities, and areas for improvementStay current on industry best practices goalQualifications:Experience:3-5 years of proven experience in a business data analysis, strategy, research, or consulting role, demonstrating increasing responsibility and impactAnalytical Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasetsProficiency in analyzing sales trends, product landscape, consumer journey, market dynamics, and other relevant business metricsExperience with data mining, statistical modeling, and forecasting techniques is a plusAbility to identify key insights and translate complex data into actionable stakeholder recommendationsTechnical Skills:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and ideally Power Query/Power Pivot)Intermediate to advanced skills in PowerPoint for creating compelling presentations and reportsExperience with data visualization tools such as Power BI (or Tableau, Qlik Sense, etc.) is essentialFamiliarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation is highly desiredExperience with programming languages like Python (or R) for data analysis and automation is a strong advantageKnowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is beneficialBusiness Acumen:Ability to understand client goals and demonstrate value through strategic, data-driven
