$56,181.37- $71,884.02 Annually $2,160.82 - $2,764.77 Bi-weekly Position Summary This is a professional position that assists with the operational and analytical functions of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (Agency) revenue management unit. The incumbent must possess strong analytical skills and be able to provide detailed and accurate financial data for expenditures and revenues for the Agency. The data must be duplicated by others and presented in a clear and concise format. The incumbent will serve as liaison with program offices within the Agency and providers of federal funds. The Work You Will Do Responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly revenue and expenditure projections. This requires utilizing a data query system to extract financial information from the Statewide Accounting Systems and inputting that information into multiple spreadsheets for use by management to make appropriate financial decisions for the Agency. The information contained in the spreadsheets must be updated and maintained each month to ensure accuracy. The data is used to ensure the Agency does not spend beyond its resources. The final figures will be used at year end to assist with preparing the schedule I for the LBR. It is also used to support budget amendment requests made by the Agency. Responsible for assisting with the preparation of the Agency’s quarterly Medicaid Administrative Claim. This includes preparing accurate spreadsheets with time-keeping results for those employees keeping 100% time-keeping records. The cost allocation percentages are used by the Agency to properly allocate budget each year to each unit, bureau, division and region. Responsible for assigning administrative costs to the benefiting grants in the Statewide Accounting Systems as determined by the quarterly Medicaid Administrative Claiming report. This is required to accurately reflect the costs for each of the activities administered by the Agency and for accurately reporting those costs on all required financial reports. Responsible for receiving cash and/or cash equivalents, preparing deposits, verifying appropriate Statewide Accounting Systems coding and preparing code sheets for Operations Review Specialist. Responsible for receiving monthly reports from the Developmental Disability Centers (DDCs) of projected/actual revenues and preparing a composite report of the cash position of the fee collection program in the DDCs for management’s review. Ensures the information contained in the report is accurate by verifying figures from the Statewide Accounting Systems. Responsible for financial reporting for assigned grants. This includes researching accounting errors in the Statewide Accounting Systems and completing corrections in a timely manner. Monitors compliance with appropriate fiscal procedures on a monthly basis and works with grant managers and budget personnel on fiscal matters for grants. Prepare internal monthly reports for grant managers to keep them apprised of grant expenditures and receipts. Prepares financial status reports for federal agencies. Provides backup support to Operations Review Specialist with tasks such as Random Moment Time Study System reports and preparation of the daily cash report. Responsible for assisting the Revenue Manager with preparation of the schedule I which is required for preparation and submission of the Agency’s Annual Legislative Budget Request (LBR). The Schedule I includes all required supporting documents as dictated by the Office of Policy and Budget (OPB) and is the mechanism used to convey critical financial and budgetary information about each trust fund to OPB. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 2 to 4 years of experience in Accounting/Finance. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office 2007 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Associates degree can substitute for 2 years of experience. Bachelor’s degree can substitute for 4 years of required experience Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Knowledge of: Grants reporting requirements. Statewide Accounting Systems. Statewide Accounting query Systems. Report Distribution System (RDS) reports. Federal regulations. Microsoft Office Suite applications. Ability to: Learn an online web-based and email-capable Random Moment Time Study System (RMTS) or any other statistical. Sampling system being used by the Agency. Communicate effectively. Explain financial reports. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Demonstrate a strong commitment to deliver exceptional customer service to external and internal customers. Demonstrate Skills in: Providing detailed analysis. Developing financial reports. Microsoft Office Suite applications.
