Financial Specialist

Job Description We are recruiting a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Specialist to support complex infrastructure and technology projects. Work closely with the Finance Manager and cross‑functional teams to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with strategic business objectives. What You'll Be Doing Assist in the development, tracking, and analysis of project budgets and forecasts Collaborate with project teams to monitor financial performance, track expenditures, and help mitigate financial risks Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements Support month‑end and year‑end close processes Analyze financial data and provide insights to support project and business decision‑making Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and variance analysis, while supporting management reporting, revenue tracking, and cost reconciliation Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and financial procedures Recommend and support process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and financial efficiency Assist with audits, cost proposals, and other financial documents as needed Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA a plus 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or project accounting, preferably within an engineering or contracting environment Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, logical functions, and data manipulation Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data effectively Excellent written and verbal communication to collaborate across multiple teams Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, and collaborative environment Desired Skills Experience working with a variety of contract types, including firm‑fixed‑price, cost reimbursement, cost‑plus‑fixed‑fee, and time and materials contracts Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and continuously evolving environment Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in financial data and reporting Experience with online reporting systems and workflow development Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively Familiarity with project‑based accounting or engineering/construction industry financial processes is a plus Security Clearance Requirement None Salary Range $74,800.00 - $130,900.00 Equal Opportunity Employer Parsons is an equal opportunity employer; all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status. #J-18808-Ljbffr Parsons
