Factors that may be used to determine rate of pay include specific skills, work location, work experience and other individualized factorsJOB SUMMARYResponsible for assisting the controller RCFO Region CFO in securing financial operations, managing the accounting department, and working to create a fiscal strategy that aligns with the goals of the Company.ResponsibilitiesSupervises and directs work of Accounts Payable Associates, Account Receivable Associates, Accounting AssociatesProvide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.Prepare Sysco weekly, monthly, and quarterly reportsEnter monthly journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsManage business license application renewals as necessaryOversee the close of multiple sets of books and recordsResponsible for ensuring account reconciliations are completed timely, correctly and addresses reconciling items within Sysco requirementsBusiness process management of the underlying transactional processes are maintained and performed timelySupport the weekly reporting processSupport the forecast processAssist with annual Sysco budgetsMake recommendations to management to improve profitabilityIdentify opportunities to control costs and reduce expensesPrepare and file local tax returnsParticipate in shrink committeeSupervises and directs work of Accounts Payable Associates, Account Receivable Associates, Accounting AssociatesQUALIFICATIONSEducationBachelor’s Degree in Finance or AccountingExperience5 years of accounts payable experience required, preferably with 1+ year leading othersSkillsOrganizational, time management, and critical thinking skillsStrong computer skills and knowledge of financial reporting softwareMust be able to analyze data and draw logical conclusions and recommendations from the dataDecision Making AuthorityEnsure proper reporting and complianceIssuance of financial statementsBENEFITS INFORMATION:For information on Sysco’s Benefits, please visit is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
