Equipment maintenance technician

We're looking for a skilled, hands on Maintenance Technician who knows their way around a fast paced plant floor. In this role, you won't just be turning wrenches, you'll be the go to technical expert for complex machinery repairs, electrical diagnostics, and keeping our line running at peak performance. You'll work directly on the floor, troubleshooting equipment, sharpening maintenance routines, and helping train the next generation of mechanics and operators. If you take pride in fixing things right the first time, keeping downtime to a minimum, and running a safe, productive shop, this is the spot for you.

salary: $62,400 - $66,560 per year
shift: First
work hours: 5 AM - 3:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Rigorously observe all OSHA guidelines and internal safety protocols.
• Conduct complex electrical and mechanical servicing on packaging machinery and power distribution panels.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance routines promptly.
• Track and document all servicing, equipment repairs, inventory usage, and special projects.
• Oversee proper daily operational startups and shutdowns of facility machinery.
• Inspect, service, and repair mechanical conveyors, electronic setups, and industrial machinery.
• Diagnose operational failures through visual and auditory inspections of active mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical components of conveyor systems.
• Collaborate with management to design and refine protocols that elevate equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
• Log all adjustments made to plant machinery.
• Deliver daily operational training and mentorship to Machine Operators and Maintenance Mechanics.
• Carry out additional operational duties as assigned.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 10 hours at one time
• working up to 12 hrs of overtime per week
