Areas of Ownership Spearheading the reopening of the newly renovated restaurant alongside the Executive Chef Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen Training and educating staff on food preparation and cooking methods Qualifications (Includes equipment knowledge/use) 1-2 years as a Sous Chef and/or Lead Cook in a high volume - full service restaurant. Experience opening a restaurant is a huge plus. Knowledge of food health and safety regulations Knowledge of menu and resource planning Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills Demonstrate proper knife handling skills and other kitchen equipment safety Knowledge of a wide range of recipes and cooking techniques Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed Must possess a Food Handler Safety Card Possess the physical and mental stamina to work for extended periods of time Physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware up to 50 lbs Physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time Benefits Health insurance PTO Holiday Pay We Are Human Kind is an equal opportunity employer.
