HR/Payroll CoordinatorOur client, a well-established transportation and logistics company in Burlington, NJ, is seeking a detail-oriented HR/Payroll Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities while ensuring payroll accuracy for a large workforce.The Payroll Coordinator will support payroll processing for approximately 450 company employees and 240 owner operators. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong attention to detail, and be comfortable working with payroll systems, including AS400.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll accurately and on time for company employees and owner operatorsUtilize the AS400 system for owner operator payroll processingReview, edit, and verify employee timecardsIdentify and resolve payroll discrepancies and errorsProcess attendance records and payroll-related documentationMaintain payroll records, including W-2s and tax formsCoordinate with Human Resources regarding employee status changes, including new hires, terminations, and wage adjustmentsOversee electronic payroll payments and distribution of payroll checksProcess bonuses, severance pay, taxes, workers' compensation, and other payroll-related deductions or compensationsManage benefit-related payroll expenses, including insurance deductions and paid leaveGenerate payroll reports for management as requestedRespond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and compensationAssist with payroll audits and requests from regulatory agencies, including the IRSSend monthly employee birthday and anniversary cardsQualificationsPrevious experience as a Payroll Clerk, Payroll Coordinator, or similar payroll roleStrong understanding of payroll processes and proceduresExperience with payroll systems; ADP experience preferredExperience working with AS400 is a plusAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data managementStrong analytical and mathematical skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesExceptional attention to detail and accuracyAbility to multitask and transition efficiently between priorities in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of payroll and employment regulations, including FLSA and related payroll legislationAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferredLocation: Burlington, NJ Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (some flexibility available) Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site Pay Rate: $24.00 - $26.00/hour Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Benefits: Health Insurance, Vacation and PTO available after completion of required hours worked.
