Mixed Animal Medical Director (DVM) - Cisco, TX
A veterinary practice is seeking a Medical Director (DVM) to lead its mixed animal team. This is a unique opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about leadership, enjoys a diverse caseload, and wants to make a meaningful impact in both clinical care and practice growth. This role combines hands-on medicine with leadership responsibilities, offering the chance to shape medical standards, mentor a team, and contribute to the long-term success of the hospital.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostics, treatment planning, and surgical procedures
- Establish and maintain medical protocols and best practices
- Mentor and support clinical team members
- Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate medical records and oversee quality of care
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented team culture
- Support business performance and clinical outcomes
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active or eligible veterinary license
- Experience in small animal and/or mixed animal medicine
- Leadership experience or strong interest in a leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
