Nurse Practitioner Palliative Care

Providence Medical Group is seeking a full-time nurse practitioner to join its inpatient Palliative Care team in Anchorage, Alaska.


This is an exceptional opportunity to practice alongside a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on improving the quality of life for patientswith chronic and life-altering illnesses. The team works closely with inpatient providers, outpatient palliative care clinicians, nursing staff, social workers, case managers and chaplains to provide seamless, patient-centered care. Position Details:

• Full-time position
  
• 4, 10-hour shifts schedule

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits
  
• 40 CME hours and $5,000 annual CME allowance
  
• Up to $25,000 in relocation assistance
  
• 264 hours of paid time off annually
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred
  
• Experience leading family meetings and goals-of-care conversations
  
• Knowledge of symptom management
  
• Experience in medication management, serious illness communication, and end-of-life care
  
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including patients, physicians, faculty, residents, nursing staff, social workers, case managers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals
