Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students with a dynamic caseload! This full-time position offers 35 hours per week, ideal for experienced professionals seeking to make a meaningful impact in a school setting. As a valued member of the educational team, you'll work with a diverse group of 35 students, providing essential services that foster growth, development, and academic success.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with students, educators, and families, delivering direct physical therapy services, monitoring progress, and participating actively in consultative and supportive practices. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with IEP documentation and ensure each student receives individualized attention tailored to their unique needs.
Qualifications:
- Active California physical therapy license required
- Prior experience in a school-based environment is highly preferred
- Ability to work effectively with K-12 students across a range of ages and abilities
- Skilled in providing direct therapy, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and completing IEP paperwork
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with IEP goals
- Complete ongoing evaluation, consult, and support for student growth and classroom needs
- Collaborate with educational staff, specialists, and families
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and thorough records
- Support and implement IEPs, attending meetings and ensuring compliance with state and district guidelines
