Fitness Trainer and Coach Fort Lauderdale

Job Description

Trainer / Coach Legacy Fort Lauderdale\n

About Legacy\n

Legacy has spent more than 25 years turning people into their strongest selves. It started as the training ground for professional athletes and celebrities, and today it gives everyday people that same standard of coaching every time they walk in. The engine is P.I.T., our patented Partner Interval Training system. Partners work through paired, antagonistic movements with a whole room pushing beside them, and the results are grounded in science: less body fat, more muscle, better cardiovascular markers, and the kind of progress people build their lives around. No other gym can copy it, and it is why P.I.T. has sparked friendships, business deals, and more than a few marriages.

\n

Our Fort Lauderdale club sits just off Las Olas at 500 South Andrews Avenue. It is a newly renovated 10,000 square foot space with custom strength equipment, a coed sauna, a cold plunge, and athlete level physical therapy on site.

Our Target Candidate\n

This is a career, not a hobby, and not a stage for building a personal brand on someone else's floor. We are hiring people who want coaching to be their profession, who judge a day by what their clients accomplished rather than by what they posted. If your aim is to build a real book of clients, earn serious money doing it, and eventually run your own room, keep reading. If you are looking for a backdrop to film content between sets, Legacy is the wrong place.

Responsibilities\n

You will coach P.I.T. sessions people remember, learn every member's name and goal, and hold them to both. You will build a personal training book of three to five hours a day, which is how our best coaches clear six figures. You will bring in new members by being someone worth training with, following up with every first timer, and turning a free first visit into a membership that lasts for years. You will keep your floor, your equipment, and your recovery areas at the standard members pay for, and you will run your sessions and your records in Arketa with the same discipline you bring to a workout.

Growing and Protecting the Culture\n

We call it NO DAYS OFF, and we mean it about the coach before the client. You cannot ask a member to show up on a hard morning if you take days off on yourself. That standard is the whole product. It is what members are paying for, and it is what you are being hired to protect.

Ideal Qualifications\n

\n
• A real commitment to coaching as a career, and the hunger to be great at it
\n
• Personal training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, or equivalent), plus CPR/AED or the willingness to earn it within thirty days
\n
• At least one year coaching group fitness or personal training, with proof you can motivate people across every fitness level
\n
• The people skills to close a membership without ever sounding like a salesperson
\n
• A service first background, ideally forged somewhere disciplined such as college athletics or the military
\n
• Flexibility to work the early mornings, evenings, and weekends when members actually train
\n

Top Candidates Possess:\n

\n
• A degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field
\n
• Experience with Partner Interval Training, HIIT, or bootcamp style coaching
\n
• A track record of membership sales and client retention
\n
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
\n

Upside\n

Legacy is a place to build a name, not punch a clock. You will learn directly from a founder who has shaped this industry for more than two decades. You will earn more as you build more, with a clear path past six figures for coaches who fill their books. And you will sit inside a brand that is growing, on the same path Legacy leaders have taken to open their own facilities and travel the world with their clients.

\n

If that is the career you want, we want to meet you.
