Our growing public accounting firm, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting our clients' financial operations, from monthly close through tax season. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple priorities, working closely with support staff, and navigating both modern accounting software and manual processes with equal confidence.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and present quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Manage tax filing processes for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Administer payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and financial records
• Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar) to manage day-to-day financial data
• Perform manual accounting procedures as needed for specialized or non-standardized client needs
• Manage and review work of support staff as appropriate
• Identify process improvements and help ensure best practices across financial reporting and compliance

Qualifications

Required:

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within public accounting or a client-services environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong working knowledge of financial reporting, tax preparation, and payroll processes
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small-team setting

Preferred:

• Active CPA license (or actively pursuing certification as CPA or EA)
• Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience
• Experience serving a diverse client base across industries
• Entrepreneurial interest, with an eye toward future ownership opportunities within the firm
