Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant - Fully onsite opportunity

Jacko Logistics is a fast-growing transportation and logistics company headquartered in Vancouver, WA. With a fleet of 250+ trucks and continued expansion plans, we are looking for a hands-on Staff Accountant to join our accounting team and play a key role in supporting our day-to-day financial operations.

What You'll Do

Accounts Receivable (Primary Focus)

• Manage and oversee the full accounts receivable process
• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely
• Monitor customer payment activity and aging reports
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes
• Follow up on outstanding balances and support collection efforts
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate records
• Assist with cash application and payment posting

Accounts Payable Support

• Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with weekly check runs and ACH payments
• Maintain vendor records and documentation
• Support AP coverage and workflow management as needed

General Accounting Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules
• Support financial reporting and analysis
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
• Assist with audits and special accounting projects
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
• Collaborate with operations, payroll, recruiting, and leadership teams

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience required
• Strong hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable
• Working knowledge of Accounts Payable processes
• Experience with account reconciliations and general ledger accounting
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large amounts of data
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Transportation, logistics, trucking, or distribution industry experience is a plus
