This is an Hourly position. OSF Rehabilitation offers an environment for clinicians that is supportive in professional development and offers paid continuing education units, tuition reimbursement for further education, and 401k with $1 per $1 match on first 5% of salary. OSF will invest in you on day 1! Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time that will be available for use beginning day 1. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Physical Therapist Assistant, under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist, assists in administering the Physical Therapists' treatment plan. Administers and monitors patient's response to therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and other treatments in accordance with the physical therapists treatment plan. This position’s primary location will be at Sheridan, serving the industrial rehab and neurologically impaired patient populations. This position will also have the potential to serve the orthopedic and aquatic patient populations at other locations. QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Licensure/Certifications: State license as Physical Therapist Assistant CPR certification within 90 days of hire Skills/knowledge: Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills to work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information. Analytical ability to identify and report changes in patient's condition to a physical therapist. Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
