PRN Pharmacist - Hudson, WI


PRN Pharmacist | Details and Compensation:

• Location: Hudson, WI 54016 - 100% on-site
• Payrate: 65.75/hr
• On Call rate: $75 per diem and $75 per dispensing call
• Required Availability: Full-Time | PRN / As-Needed coverage including:
• Weekdays: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (as scheduled)
• Weekends: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM (2 weekend shifts per month on a 4-week rotation)
• On-Call: 3-4 on-call evenings per week (after-hours coverage when the pharmacy is closed)

PRN Pharmacist | Summary and Highlights:


The PRN Pharmacist supports safe, accurate dispensing of prescription medications while ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations. This role provides patient consultation, medication education, and collaborates with the healthcare team to identify and resolve medication-related issues.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

PRN Pharmacist | Responsibilities:

• Accurately accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications
• Provide patient consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications (dosage, storage, side effects, interactions)
• Maintain confidential patient records and ensure proper management of pharmacy files
• Monitor for medication compliance concerns and communicate drug-related problems to prescribers/clinical team as appropriate
• Support pharmacy operations including inventory management of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Supervise pharmacy staff (e.g., pharmacy technicians/clerks) as needed
• Perform medication compounding (non-sterile preferred; sterile preparation may be required based on site needs)

PRN Pharmacist | Requirements:

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) (verifiable)
• Licensure: Active Wisconsin Pharmacist license (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Preferred: Non-sterile compounding experience; comfort with on-call / after-hours coverage
