Job Summary:
The neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) specialty in Laguna Hills, California, is seeking a highly qualified NICU III Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. This role involves providing advanced care for high-risk neonates and requires candidates to bring their California nursing license on the first day. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of solid NICU experience, particularly with level III or higher neonatal care. The position entails night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Laguna Hills, California
• Shift Hours: 3x12-hour nights, 19:00 - 07:30
• Schedule: Nights, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, CA license IN HAND, minimum 3 years NICU experience in level III or higher units, Certifications including BLS, NRP, Advanced NRP, experience with EMR system EPIC, and ability to attend high-risk deliveries
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Neonates less than 24 weeks, 29-34 weeks, and over 34 weeks; proficiency in neonatal medication administration, invasive procedures, and neonatal resuscitation techniques
• Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries, management of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit equipment (such as UAC, UVC, ventilators, and HFNC), and providing comprehensive neonatal care including feeding support, thermoregulation, sepsis workup, and family teaching
• Additional Information: Candidates must present RTO at the time of submission; Nursys verification (pulled within 2 weeks), one reference required within 2 years, and vaccinations including flu vaccine (medical or religious exemptions only) are mandatory.
