Phlebotomist

Our client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a Phlebotomist for their Mauston, WI location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist position draws blood from inpatient and outpatient settings so tests can be performed and doctors can make diagnoses.
• Send out all pathology and cytology, bone marrow biopsies, and fine needle aspirates.
• Review and input patients' demographics for pathology. Review and print pathology reports and input histology charges as they come in.
• Order tests and prepare them to standards.
• Check lab orders to make sure orders are correct, confirm physicians on the orders, and make changes if any are needed.
• Perform venipuncture blood draws, heel sticks, and finger pokes; verify patients' information, do drug screens, do breathalyzers, and keep phlebotomist updated with changes and new protocols.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements:

• Required qualifications to effectively perform job. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
• Minimum years of experience: Less than 1 year
