Phlebotomist - Full-Time, Second Shift

The Phlebotomist position involves drawing blood from inpatient and outpatient settings for testing purposes to assist physicians in making diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Send out all pathology and cytology, bone marrow biopsies, and fine needle aspirates.
• Review and input patient demographics for pathology.
• Review and print pathology reports and input histology charges as they are received.
• Order tests and prepare them to standards.
• Check lab orders for accuracy, confirm with physicians, and make necessary changes.
• Perform venipuncture blood draws, heel sticks, and finger pokes; verify patient information, conduct drug screens, and breathalyzers.
• Stay updated with changes and new protocols relevant to phlebotomy.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Schedule

This position is for full-time work during the second shift, with hours from 11 AM to 7:30 PM or 1 PM to 9:30 PM, including weekend rotation as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• A valid and current driver's license is preferred.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are required.
