Job Description

As a Security Officer Exterior Patrol in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team in a dynamic environment that values innovation and professionalism.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following client policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant security-related details.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter points as assigned.
• Monitor for unusual activity, access concerns, and/or potential policy violations to help to deter disruption, theft-related activity, and other security-related issues.
• Support store personnel and visitors by providing directions, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and communicating clearly with local leadership and/or emergency services when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
