Speech Language Pathologist SLP
MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc
Ignite Communication Through Every Life Stage in the Warmth of Arizona – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine if your next professional leap transformed lives — and you did so through the power of speech. As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Arizona's most vibrant cities, your role goes beyond addressing speech and swallowing challenges. You will unlock life's potential, restore self-assurance, and foster meaningful connections — from playful toddlers mastering their first sentences to courageous seniors reclaiming their autonomy.
In this extraordinary role, you'll have the chance to touch the lives of individuals from diverse backgrounds across the lifespan, serving in a combined outpatient therapy environment with occasional inpatient duties. Whether your passion lies in nurturing childhood language acquisition, tackling adult neurogenic communication issues, or aiding the elderly in cognitive-linguistic recovery, you will find both fulfillment and flexibility.
Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized assessments and observations.
Create tailored treatment strategies that focus on immediate goals and address ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions specializing in language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to implement unified care approaches.
Provide education to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
Occasionally complete inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments to maintain seamless care throughout the rehabilitation journey.
Ensure precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Commit to ongoing learning by staying updated with advancements in the field through professional education and peer networking.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if awaiting ASHA-certification.
Licensed to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be completed within 30 days of employment.
Mastery of evidence-based intervention methods for all age groups, paired with an understanding of developmental and acquired challenges related to speech, language, and swallowing.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Adept at modifying therapy approaches to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical evaluation and problem-solving competencies.
Comfortable navigating electronic health records and maintaining documentation standards.
Competitive salary reflective of your experience.
Flexible schedules to promote work-life balance and engagement with diverse caseloads.
Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Funding for continuing education and support for professional advancement.
A collaborative, team-oriented workplace committed to high-quality care and lifelong learning.
A Journey That Reflects Your Essence — and Moves You Forward
In this position, you won't just provide therapeutic services — you'll become part of a community-centered mission that restores voices, enriches communication, and creates joy through the simplest acts of understanding and kindness.
Join a dedicated team where members support one another like family, fostering an environment that prioritizes collaboration over competition. Every patient has a unique story; we trust you to help weave that narrative.
Why Life in Arizona Will Captivate You
The rhythm of life in this vibrant city is a delightful blend of innovation and warm hospitality. Located amid the striking landscapes of the Sonoran Desert, this region offers a unique balance of nature, culture, and endless opportunities.
Bask in the soothing Arizona sun as families stroll through parks, joining neighbors for food festivals, art exhibits, and farmer's markets that showcase local artistry and flavors. Outdoor enthusiasts revel in hiking rocky trails that unveil breathtaking views and stargaze in the clear night sky, while food lovers explore everything from southwestern cuisine to celebrity chef-inspired dining experiences.
The area is rich in cultural vibrancy, evident in every artwork splashed across city walls and heard in the live music that fills the air. It boasts a robust healthcare sector supportive of professional growth, all while offering a lower cost of living and no state income tax — a perfect setting to nurture both personal and professional aspirations.
Whether you are embarking on your career journey or looking to take the next step as an experienced clinician, you will find a nurturing environment conducive to both personal and professional growth.
Who We Want You to Be
We're in search of a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist, driven by both results and empathy. Someone who recognizes the potential in a shy child and dreams of helping them express themselves fully, who detects a fragile voice of a stroke survivor and supplies hope.
You may be a pediatric specialist eager to broaden your skills within adult care — or a clinician focused on neurological rehabilitation seeking to incorporate early language interventions.
If your passion lies in serving others with heart and expertise, we are eager to welcome you aboard.
Let's Craft Communication — Side by Side
If you see speech as significantly more than mere sound, and therapy as far more than routine — if you believe in trust before tackling challenges and laughter within the learning process — this could be the exciting next chapter of your professional tale.
Join us in a community that honors the art of conversation, connection, and the courage it takes to embrace new beginnings. Apply today to lend your voice to our collective mission — and assist others in discovering theirs.
