Schedule: On‑Site | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Our client, a family‑owned transportation and logistics business generating approximately $40M in annual revenue , is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic and culturally diverse office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast‑paced environment, thrives under pressure, and wants to make a direct impact alongside a highly collaborative leadership team.
You’ll work closely with the Controller and serve as an essential contributor to daily accounting operations. If you’re resilient, detail‑oriented, and capable of keeping structure in a sometimes chaotic setting — this role is built for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day‑to‑day accounting including cutting checks, journal entries, reconciliations, and bill entry
- Perform payroll and billing verification , collaborating with internal teams for data accuracy
- Maintain tracking tools and create Excel‑based reports for ownership
- Support the team with urgent, time‑sensitive requests as they arise
- Work directly with the Controller (no direct reports initially)
- Assist with process improvements as the company continues to grow

Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (logistics or construction experience preferred)
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong QuickBooks Desktop skills (transition to QuickBooks Online expected)
- Advanced Excel abilities, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- High integrity, strong professionalism, and excellent multitasking skills
- Ability to stay organized and effective in a dynamic, sometimes chaotic environment
