Accounting Manager

This role will collaborate closely with accounting personnel, internal departments, and external parties to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance. The accounting manager will be overseeing the general accounting function and working with the accounts receivable and accounts payable teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing industry, contributing to the financial success of the company while gaining exposure to the unique financial challenges of the flavor and fragrance industry.Key Responsibilities:Review Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations including inter company transactionsBalance Sheet account reconciliationAssist with month-end closingAssist with external auditors requestCoordinate daily accounting operations and assist AP and AR managersCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Procurement, HR, etc.) to address and resolve vendor/customer issues.Produce weekly and monthly reports and assist in preparing financial statements and reporting packagesIdentify control gaps and recommend improvements in approval workflows, segregation of duties, and reconciliation standards.Support the Controller with special projects, ad-hoc analyses, and process enhancements as needed.Utilizing reporting tools to produce and analyze financial data.Education & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in AccountingProficiency with MS Excel and other Applications, Netsuite is a +5 years of work experience in a manufacturer, distributor or industry providing CPG on a B2B basisSkills and/or Physical Requirements:Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate using both written and verbal communication with diverse work groups, including customers and internal Berje employeesTeam oriented, yet able to work independently.Positive and professional manner, strong focus on detail, accuracy and accountability.High degree of organization, prioritization, problem solving and initiative.
