This position will be part of a proprietary program located in Berkeley, MOProprietary programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) customers. The selected engineer will work in a high-performing, cross functional team primarily focused on Mission Systems Crew Systems.This position will directly report to the Core Avionics team within Mission Systems on an Air Dominance Proprietary program.Position Responsibilities:Use CAMEO/MBSE to analyze, translate, and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications, showing traceability throughout the product lifecycleDesign and maintain hardware, software, and interface specificationsTest and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirementsMonitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirementsSupport project management activities by providing work statements, budget, schedule, and other required inputs, and by reporting project statusInterface with multiple disciplines, internal and external customers, suppliers, and multiple levels within the organizationComplete trade studies, modeling, simulation, and other forms of analysis to predict components, interconnects, and system performance, and to optimize designResearch specific technology advances for potential application implementationBasic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement9+ years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical educationPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):Development and qualification, physical and functional design and integration, and resolving supplier technical issuesExperience with Mission Systems Crew Systems DisplaysElectrical engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, and integrated design, analysis, evaluation, and verificationExperience with avionics hardware development, design, production, and project managementConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Signing Bonus:Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.The Boeing 401(k) helps you save for your future, with contributions from Boeing that can help you grow your retirement savings.
