\n\n\n\nJob Summary:Assists with procedures to analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system and performs specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular and neuro interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.\n\n\n\nJob Responsibilities and Requirements:\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\n Must work at least 30% of FTE in secondary modality to be eligible for a Multiple Modality job.\n Prepares patients for procedures. Reviews medical history, positions patients and cleans/shaves/numbs testing sites as appropriate.\n Interprets, describes and reports test results; recognizes recording errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.\n Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area and ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.\n Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly department.\n Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.\n Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.\n Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.\n Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.\n May perform point of care testing according to policies and procedures.\n Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.\n Performs other duties as assigned.\n\n\n\n EDUCATION\n\n\n \n Completion of a Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program\n\n\n EXPERIENCE\n\n No experience required\n\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\n\n Constant standing and walking.\n Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).\n Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.\n Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.\n Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.\n Frequent lifting/moving of patients.\n Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry.\n Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.\n Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.\n Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.\n Rare kneeling and sitting.\n\n\nREQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
