In the role of Principal Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out)
• Be responsible for any project assignment regardless of size, visibility, number of disciplines, technical complexity or number of staff
• Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently
• Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
• Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
• Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
• Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
• Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
• Implement QA/QC procedures
• Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• PMP certification
• DBIA certification
• Preference given to candidates currently residing in the Mid-Atlantic Area (MD, VA, DC)

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 15 years related experience
• A minimum 7 years project management experience
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
• Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Washington, DC: $172,200 - $246,000. Baltimore, MD: $150,675 - $215,250. Fulton, MD: $157,850 - $225,500. Glen Allen, VA: $143,500 - $205,000. Newport News, VA: $143,500 - $205,000. Roanoke, VA: $136,325 - $194,750. Vienna, VA: $172,200 - $246,000. Virginia Beach, VA: $143,500 - $205,000.
