Welder and Fabricator PositionNewton Crouch Company, LLC is looking for skilled welders and fabricators to join the NCC team in Griffin, Georgia. Must be able to join metals with precision from technical drawings and verbal instruction. The ideal candidate can work solo or as a team.RequirementsStrong knowledge of all types of welding processes.Experience welding Stainless and Mild Steel is required.Capable of working with sheet metal, tubing or channel.Knowledge of working with welding tools and equipment.Skilled in operating power and hand tools.Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature.Read prints and technical drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.Inspect manufactured material has required parts and meet quality control standards.Competency To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.Quantity – Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works efficiently.Safety – Observes safety procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time. Shares knowledge and experience of process and machinery with other team members.Requirements and QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)Experienced MIG Welder; experience welding in both Stainless and Mild Steel is required.Fabricating Experience - able to read drawings, assemble to print, and weld togetherForklift experience requiredAbility to communicate job related issues with supervisor, team leaders and other employees.Basic math skills: Ability to add and subtract whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to use simple mathematical devices, such as, calculators, measuring tapes, etc.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
