Overview

Responsibilities
- Monitor, record, and score overnight polysomnography studies, ensuring high-quality data acquisition and patient safety
- Perform sleep study scoring and data interpretation according to current professional guidelines; document findings accurately
- Troubleshoot equipment, manage signal integrity, and address technical issues during monitoring
- Assist with patient education, mask fittings, and comfort to improve study quality and patient experience
- Maintain 1:1 or 2:1 patient-to-technologist ratios as dictated by lab protocol; coordinate with team for patient care and safety
- Enter data and notes into the electronic medical record (Epic) and collaborate with the sleep team for appropriate follow-up and documentation

Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in sleep technology; 3–5 years highly preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate degree acceptable, preferably in a science field or successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sleep Technology Program
- Certifications: BLS (required)
- Clinical experience: Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- Scheduling: Availability to work weekends; nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with no block scheduling; able to work in a fast-paced sleep lab environment
