Production TechnicianThe Production Technician works in all areas of Production which includes, working with composite structures, producing complex assemblies, tape wrapping, and compression molding.Karman Space & Defense provides concept-to-production solutions for mission-critical systems on spacecraft, launch vehicles, missiles, hypersonics, and integrated defense systems. Karman Space & Defense brings to bear unparalleled production capabilities, unmatched engineering expertise, and unflinching analysis to render the impossible, possible.Compensation and benefits include medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, 401(k) retirement savings plan, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement.Essential duties and responsibilities include completing work orders/travelers, utilizing ISO 9001/AS9100 standards, understanding the production process, measuring and inspecting products, mixing and measuring resin and adhesive, adjusting temperature controls of ovens, reviewing blueprints or other instructions, maintaining production or processing equipment, and use of upper body mobility.Education and experience preferred include 2-3 years of experience, ability to lift 50lbs, and repetitive motion.ITAR requirements include being a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful, permanent resident, refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.Travel requirements are none for this position.Physical requirements include constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, stooping or carrying up to 50 lbs.
