Your Opportunity Customer Service Representative (CSR) – CheckSmart, Glendale, AZ As a CSR, you’ll help community members access the financial solutions they need, building relationships, processing transactions (check cashing, money transfers, customer payments) and delivering exceptional in‑store experiences. Responsibilities Build lasting relationships with customers and drive repeat business. Review, validate, and process customer transactions accurately. Offer personalized financial services to maximize customer success. Enter and maintain customer information with precision in the POS system. Generate new business through daily call campaigns. Assist in account management, collections, and payment acceptance. Perform duties outside the office as required, including vehicle appraisals, store errands, and community events. Maintain store appearance and cleanliness standards. Enforce office security protocols and manage vault and cash drawer procedures. Uphold compliance with company policies, local, state, and federal laws. Engage in ongoing training and stay current on product and process changes. Work efficiently in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, juggling multiple tasks to meet performance standards. Perform additional tasks as directed by leadership. Maintain a full‑time schedule with regular in‑person attendance, including weekends (minimum 40 hours per week). Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor. Meticulous attention to detail and accurate data entry skills. Proficiency with phones, POS system, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems. Minimum 18 years of age (19 in Alabama). Background check required, in accordance with applicable law. Ability to meet physical demands: standing up to 90% of the time, moving up to 25 pounds, operating mechanical controls. Preferred: experience in check cashing, document verification, or money order processing; prior cash handling and vault management; bilingual (English/Spanish); valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and vehicle for mileage compensation.
