Job Title: Afterschool Teacher PJA Afterschool is looking for creative, compassionate, and energetic educators who want to make a real impact in the lives of school-age kids. We are currently hiring afterschool staff for our WEST side locations SW - Multnomah Village SW - Sylvan NW - Forest Heights Open Roles & Pay Teacher Assistant: $17.50–$18.85/hour (Part-time) Lead Teacher: $19–$20/hour (Part-time) Schedule - Starts August 17th Afternoons only! 2:00/3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (varies by site) Benefits We support our staff so they can do their best work: Generous PTO, vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay Paid planning time Professional development opportunities Free mental health benefits and free gym membership! This role is an opportunity to be a mentor and role model while helping students build confidence, curiosity, and strong relationships. Responsibilities include: Planning and leading enrichment activities and curriculum Supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development Creating a positive and inclusive environment Collaborating with staff, families, and the community Ensuring student safety and well-being at all times Qualifications We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds.
