Registered Nurse - PCU

Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care. Maintain professional accountability for care of assigned patients. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct‑care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission and Service Standards. Qualifications Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Licensure: Must personally obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state or equivalent compact licensure and meet all state board of nursing requirements. Experience: Seeking experienced nurses. Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON) Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Fetal Monitor Certification (C‑EFM) Other unit‑specific certifications as required. Physical Requirements Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
