Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant - Production
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Machine Operator Assistant in our production department. This role involves assisting in the operation of production machinery, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of production machinery by loading and unloading materials.
• Monitor equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Inspect materials for quality assurance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety and quality procedures diligently.
• Lift and handle materials consistently weighing 30–50 lbs throughout the shift.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience in machine operation, general production, and packaging.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and tape measures.
• Experience with forklift operation is advantageous.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform bending and twisting motions.

Work Environment

Work in a paper and cardboard production environment with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with potential for overtime. Safety is a priority, requiring eye protection, closed-toed shoes, hearing protection, and a hi-vis vest, all of which are provided. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Grand Rapids,MI.
