Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing comprehensive maternity care, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery services, with the flexibility to float between units based on patient needs. The position requires adherence to patient safety protocols and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications: AWHONN Advanced*, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, STABLE.
• Education Requirements: Not specified.
• Location Requirements: Must hold valid state license; Compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Years of Experience: 2 years of recent experience in labor and delivery.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Qualifications: Experience in cesarean section, sterile vaginal exams, use of External and Internal Fetal Monitoring, triage of obstetrical patients, and vaginal delivery.
• Responsibilities include circulating for cesarean sections, managing Level I maternity and nursery care, and responding to emergency situations with appropriate skills.
• Required experience and skills include working within patient ratios, proficiency in charting systems, and clinical expertise in obstetrical procedures.
• Submission requirements: Candidate must answer if they have previously worked at a Providence facility, including location and dates, and provide two references covering at least one year within the last three years.
