Paralegal Manager

Lead workflow transformation efforts by identifying friction points, repetitive work, and inconsistent practices Partner with attorneys, paralegals, technology teams, and firm resources to improve work assignment, completion, and support Drive adoption of firm technology and AI tools and embed successful practices into daily workflows Evaluate automation, standardization, and knowledge-sharing opportunities Build relationships with TIL leaders, partners, associates, and business stakeholders Advise on paralegal capabilities, demand, headcount, talent needs, and service enhancement opportunities Translate workstreams and stakeholder feedback into staffing, training, specialization, and workforce plans Lead assigned paralegals and case assistants Provide coaching, feedback, performance management, advancement recommendations, and resolution of performance concerns Foster continuous learning, knowledge sharing, cross-office collaboration, and team accountability Develop training and experiential learning programs Strengthen the Litigation Case Assistant program through training, career development, workload optimization, and utilization improvements Partner on workforce planning, candidate selection, hiring, and onboarding Provide orientation and guidance to new and lateral attorneys Oversee staffing and work allocation across offices Monitor productivity, demand, and staffing data for capacity and workforce planning Share resources and resolve operational issues with the Director and other Paralegal Managers Ensure accurate time entry and timecard approval Build communities to capture specialized knowledge, share templates and best practices, and reduce knowledge silos Track improvement initiatives and use lessons learned to guide future changes Requirements 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a large law firm or similarly complex legal services environment Demonstrated success managing legal professionals, driving operational change, and improving service delivery Bachelor's degree required Proven success leading process improvement, workflow optimization, or service delivery initiatives in a legal environment Experience driving adoption of legal technology and AI-enabled solutions, such as Legora, Copilot, litigation support platforms, or comparable tools Strong project and change management skills Ability to use staffing, utilization, demand, and performance data to guide operational and workforce decisions Excellent judgment, coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills This position is not eligible for overtime Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in leading workflow transformation and operational change within a legal environment, leveraging legal technology and AI tools to enhance service delivery and team performance.
