Phlebotomy Trainee

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomy Trainee for its Patient Service Center in Olympia, Washington. The role combines part-time patient intake work with fully-funded phlebotomy school, leading to licensure and promotion into a phlebotomy position upon completion.
Responsibilities
- Attend assigned phlebotomy school within 30 days of hire
- Observe phlebotomy collections in patient service center or clinic settings
- Schedule appointments and greet patients upon arrival
- Assist with patient registration, check-in, and data entry of demographics
- Verify insurance coverage, collect payments, and perform specimen handling when needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Proficient computer and typing skills
- Alpha-numeric data entry proficiency
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
Compensation: $21.32 per hour
