As an MRI Tech, you will be part of expanding services with a 2‑tech team model, a unique workflow, and career advancement opportunities. Schedule Wed/Fri 10:00‑10:30 PM + every other weekend 6:30 AM‑7:00 PM. Job Responsibilities Perform MRI studies safely under general supervision. Prepare patients, position them, set imaging parameters, acquire images, perform computer processing, and display images. Select appropriate imaging protocols and perform quality assurance scans. Work cohesively as a team member within the MRI Department and consult appropriate content experts (radiologist, nurse, child life specialist). Rotate to MRI scanners across the assigned department as needed. Confirm patient identity per JC guidelines. Insert IV catheters and manage MR contrast agents, including use of MR‑compatible power injector. Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast agents. Document all contrast injections in EMR. Perform point‑of‑care testing where applicable. Instruct patients and visitors on MRI safety procedures. Act as final safety checkpoint before scanning. Identify hazardous malfunctions, secure area, and remove patients during emergencies. Perform scheduled quality control procedures on MRI scanner and related equipment. Record QA results and report equipment problems to supervisor. Assist other department staff with various duties (scheduling, transporting patients, inventory, filing). Qualifications Certificate/Diploma in medical imaging required; Associate’s preferred. ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required within 12 months. BLS certification required within 90 days.
