Ernest is currently in search of a Client Automation Specialist (aka field service technician) for our LA division located in Commerce, CA. This position would service LA county, Orange county, and the Inland Empire.

The Field Equipment Technician will be responsible for activities related to the care and service of the equipment sold to or used by Ernest clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with company sales reps and customers to provide equipment and machinery product knowledge expertise
• Facilitate and oversee installations and start-ups of newly sold equipment.
• Provide warrantee service on equipment sold.
• Train EPS customers on the care and operation of equipment.
• Maintain, modify, and repair equipment.
• Ensure that billing for services is administered correctly when appropriate.
• Maintain files on all EPS customers who utilize equipment in their operations.
• Pass on information to management regarding customer needs and/or problems that are found while at billable service calls.
• Promote and sale of Preventative Maintenance Programs at all EPS customers who utilize equipment in their operations.
• Responsible for the ordering and inventory of necessary space and replacement parts for EPS customers who utilize equipment in their operations.
• Continually update and train on new lines of equipment that EPS, Inc. carries.
• Maintain Demo equipment, and keep inspection reports every time machinery comes in and goes out.

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer/communication skills.
• Must have technical proficiency (Mechanical and Electrical).
• Ability to prioritize work with little direction or in an unsupervised environment.
• Ability to identify and resolve customer problems to minimize production downtime.
• Electrical and mechanical experience and knowledge gained with the United States military is sufficient
• Ability to source parts from a variety of vendors.
• Ability to read equipment and electrical schematics/drawings.
• Ability to diagnose the source of a problem with a piece of equipment and develop a plan for repair.
• Ability to determine customer needs, and make sales presentations on the appropriate equipment.
• Ability to work in varying environments, such as indoors and outdoors.
• Valid Driver's License (as mandated by state and location) with good driving history.

Pay range: $23 - 33/hour depending on experience
