Application Engineer

Salary: $62,000 - 102,000 per year Requirements:

• Able to obtain or hold a passport, travel up to 25%, lift up to 70 lbs, and maintain a clean, valid drivers license; able to rent a car.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Knowledge of trigonometry, metallurgy, and metalworking applications and operations.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and blueprint reading.
• CNC programming, CAD software, robotic programming, and Ladder Logic experience are a plus.
• Two-year degree or higher in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.
• At least two years of experience in an applications or technical sales role, or as a Field Service Engineer.

• Provide functional and technical support and demonstrate our machines functions and capabilities, with input from our Sales Engineers.
• Host customer visits and advise customers on applications, technology, and product details.
• Deliver cutting, software, and machine demonstrations, including preparing for on-site and off-site events.
• Conduct time studies and test cuts for prospective customers.
• Instruct customers on metal applications, machine operation, laser and mechanical safety, maintenance procedures, and BySoft software.
• Assess customers machine and tooling needs based on their requirements.
• Provide technical support by phone and support our Sales Team with strategic and key applications, on-site and off-site.
• Design in-house software support and fabricate demonstration parts to showcase our capabilities.
• Operate machinery and maintain our General Fabrication area, demonstration space, and equipment.
• Maintain training documentation.
• Track the number of demonstrations delivered to prospective customers and customer satisfaction with demonstrations.
