Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 28-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and titrate IV drips as required per patient care protocols
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using Philips monitoring systems
• Care for a respiratory-focused patient population including cardiac patients, post-cath, AMI, post-op lung surgery, respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, and post-PCI patients
• Collaborate with Charge Nurse and interdisciplinary team; night shift charge nurse participates in patient assignments
• Float to other Med Surg/Tele units as needed and participate in holiday and every-other-weekend rotation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Demonstrated ability to titrate IV drips
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry/cardiac monitor strips independently
• Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with respiratory-focused patient populations including CPAP and BiPAP (RT-managed)
• Prior experience in a cardiac or post-procedural nursing environment
• Familiarity with Philips monitoring systems
