Encore Oilfield Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Parts Buyer to join our manufacturing team in Millsap, Texas . This position is responsible for procuring parts and materials to support shop operations, compressor rebuilds, and manufacturing workflows. The Parts Buyer will work closely with Shop Managers, Leads, and Production personnel to ensure materials are sourced efficiently and delivered on time to support production schedules.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in purchasing within a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a strong understanding of inventory management, vendor relationships, and production requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

• Procure parts and materials to support shop operations, compressor rebuilds, and manufacturing workflows.
• Source components for natural gas compression equipment, including CAT 3500/3600 series engines, Waukesha engines, and Ariel compressors.
• Collaborate with Shop Managers, Leads, and Production personnel to align purchasing activities with build schedules.
• Create and manage Purchase Orders within JobScope.
• Track and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery based on production requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels to support shop throughput while minimizing excess inventory.
• Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) to verify that all required components are identified and available.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, availability, and delivery terms with vendors when appropriate.
• Research parts, materials, and suppliers to identify cost-effective purchasing opportunities.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with Encore purchasing procedures and documentation requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records within JobScope.
• Communicate order status, delivery schedules, and potential delays to appropriate departments.
• Represent Encore Oilfield Services, LLC in a professional manner when communicating with vendors and suppliers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QualificationsRequired

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment.
• Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production schedules.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Preferred

• Knowledge of natural gas compression equipment.
• Familiarity with CAT 3500/3600 series engines, Waukesha engines, and Ariel compressors.
• Experience purchasing parts for oil & gas, manufacturing, compression, or industrial equipment.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably JobScope.
• Experience with vendor negotiations and supplier management.
• Mechanical aptitude or experience working with industrial equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Frequently move between office and shop environments.

• Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions while wearing required PPE.

Work Environment

This position is based in Encore's Millsap, Texas manufacturing facility and requires regular interaction with Shop Managers, Leads, Production personnel, vendors, and other departments. The Parts Buyer will work in both office and shop environments and must be comfortable balancing purchasing and administrative responsibilities with the fast-paced needs of manufacturing operations.

This position participates in a rotating on-call schedule, typically for one week at a time approximately once per month, to support after-hours parts and purchasing needs.
