Technical Trainer - All Trades

Required Qualifications

• Multi‑discipline industrial experience — 7+ years across manufacturing, industrial operations, or skilled trades (fabrication, assembly, logistics, or maintenance).
• Training and workforce development experience — 3+ years as a trainer, lead trainer, or workforce development specialist.
• Advanced safety certifications — OSHA‑30 plus at least three of the following: NFPA 70E, LOTO (Authorized User), Forklift, Hot Work, Rigging, Working at Heights.
• Adult learning facilitation — Strong instructional delivery across classroom, lab, and shop‑floor environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master Train‑the‑Trainer certification .
• Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt .
• Apprenticeship program experience — Familiarity with DOL‑registered programs, including OJL and RTI frameworks.
• Bilingual capability — English/Spanish preferred.

Role Summary

The Technical Trainer – All Trades is a cross‑functional, high‑mobility trainer capable of delivering instruction across NEO, Fabrication, Assembly, and Logistics. This role provides surge capacity during production ramps, supports multi‑shift operations, covers staffing gaps, and ensures consistent training quality across the entire operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver cross‑functional training through instructor‑led sessions, hands‑on labs, and OJT across Fabrication, Assembly, Logistics, and NEO based on operational demand.
• Maintain advanced safety qualifications including OSHA‑30, NFPA 70E, LOTO, Forklift, Hot Work, Crane/Rigging, and Working at Heights.
• Provide flex coverage for multi‑shift training needs (1st and 2nd shift), surge ramps, and second‑shift activation.
• Serve as a train‑the‑trainer resource to develop, coach, and calibrate other Technical Trainers across the organization.
• Partner with Instructional Design to standardize content, validate delivery, and integrate field feedback into continuous improvement cycles.
• Support safety and risk training including Incident Investigation, JHA/Risk Assessment, and Near‑Miss Management for supervisors and leads.
• Lead targeted retraining in response to safety events, quality issues, or performance gaps identified through KPI reporting.
