Staff Nurse

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing longitudinal care for patients in the Pain Management Center at 850 Boylston St, Chestnut Hill. Working in a busy procedural setting providing care to pain management clinic patients. This includes teaching and care for initial, follow-up, and procedure patients (including fluoroscopy), management of intrathecal therapy, and responding to patients' requests/inquiries. Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment.

The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts who is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of patient care and is directly responsible to a designated nurse manager, or supervisor.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.

Experience:

• A Registered nurse with minimum of 3-5 years of recent (within the past 5 years) nursing experience.
• The experience must include a pain management practice with a minimum requirement of 3 years.
• Experience must include 2-3 years of procedural experience in the ambulatory setting required.
• Pain Certification is required, and if not certified, must obtain certification within one year.

Other:

• Membership in professional organizations is recommended
• Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract
