Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Low census eligible in hour increments as needed, typically in 4-hour increments
• Work in a fast-paced 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings, 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Unit averages 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week
• Average patient length of stay is 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multi-task and prioritize patient care needs based on acuity
• Must work collaboratively as part of a team
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required
• Recent hospital experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Equipment used includes Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted

This facility is a full-service hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and surgical services to the community. The Post Surgical Care Unit is a 40-bed inpatient area that provides comprehensive care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients following PACU recovery. The facility operates at a high occupancy rate and maintains a fast-paced environment, supported by modern technology and equipment to ensure quality patient outcomes.
