Quality Technician

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY Inspects parts according to quality and safety standards. Ensures goods and products comply with company standards as well as Federal and State law. Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Developing and maintaining company inspection reports Communicating with certified people of other departments Responsible for measurement equipment maintenance and cleanliness. Perform and completes tests of new parts, and report findings to engineering and managers. Perform all of the above operations while maintaining an orderly 5S environment Prevent unsatisfactory products from reaching the customer by examining materials for flaws and deviations from original product specifications Inspect, accept, or reject products for durability, function, customer satisfaction, and overall quality. JOB REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Solid understanding of test equipment 1-3 years of inspection and/or production experience Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent organizational skills Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information
