We are seeking dedicated and responsible School Bus Drivers (Class B) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be committed to providing safe and reliable transportation for students or passengers, ensuring a positive experience while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires excellent customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a School bus or van, transporting passengers to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and mechanical soundness.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment.
• Educate passengers on safety procedures and rules while on board.
• Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, or other stakeholders regarding schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Assist children in boarding and disembarking from the bus safely.
• Maintain accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during transit.
• Follow Ohio Department of Education safety guidelines for school bus operations

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class B Passenger- Airbrake) with appropriate endorsements for School bus driving.
• Previous experience in school bus driving is required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with children and adults alike.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for performing basic vehicle maintenance checks.
• Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records as required by company policies.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate passengers on safety protocols.
• A commitment to safety and punctuality is essential for this role.
