Location: Shelton, Connecticut
Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Specialty: Primary Care / Internal Medicine / Family Medicine
Setting: Outpatient-Focused Practice
Qualifications: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician
A well-established, community-based healthcare organization in Shelton, Connecticut, is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join its growing outpatient practice on a full-time, permanent basis .

Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients, including preventive care, routine examinations, and chronic disease management.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ medical histories, clinical findings, and healthcare needs.
Manage common conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and other chronic illnesses.
Order, review, and interpret appropriate laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and other clinical investigations.
Emphasize preventive medicine, health screenings, patient education, and lifestyle counseling.
Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in an outpatient clinical setting.
