Team Leader - LAX Marriott $25/HR

Position Summary At Towne Park, it’s more than a job; you can make an impact by delivering exceptional hospitality services to patients, visitors and guests. The Team Leader is responsible for the general operations of a property that is not a 24/7 operation and that hosts nine (9) or fewer GSAs. Under the direction of the District Manager or an assigned off‑site Account Manager, the Team Leader coordinates and administers operations, provides troubleshooting guidance, and handles critical issues that require decisive judgment when expediency is a priority. Responsibilities Ensure consistent delivery of the guest/patient service experience on all shifts. Allocate labor resources efficiently to support service delivery and reduce staffing levels when business conditions dictate. Integrate Towne Park’s service standards with the client’s standards, maintaining accuracy and composure under pressure to handle complaints and difficult situations. Maintain detailed knowledge of the client’s facility, including outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, attractions, and parking rates. Participate actively in “The Show” and deliver “Aggressive Hospitality” to guests and patients. Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests/patients and check them in, explaining parking and retrieval procedures. Conduct effective room presentations for bell services, assist with item delivery and pickup, and provide directions, taxi, and reservation assistance. Assign routine and non‑ordinary roles to associates, ensuring appropriate task distribution. Engage in hiring processes to select the best people for the location, fostering an environment that retains talented associates. Provide feedback, coaching and performance documentation; ensure shift huddles occur on every shift. Develop supportive relationships with client staff, maintaining regular meetings and communication channels as directed. Identify opportunities to grow Towne Park’s business by building client loyalty and converting clients to promoters. Maintain controls over scheduling, overtime, tip reporting, timekeeping and revenue collection; prepare accurate cash drop slips, shift reports and other paperwork. Report methods for improving operating procedures and overall efficiency to the District Manager or Account Manager. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Minimum age 18 and ability to pass a criminal background check, MVR and drug screen. Experience & Knowledge One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of GSA procedures. Skills Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle. Strong planning, prioritization and project management skills under pressure. Work ethic, drive, energy and persistence to achieve goals. Stability, dependability and professionalism in changing situations. Computer proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and point‑of‑sale applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for all organizational levels. Cultural sensitivity and effective representation of the company in diverse settings. Compensation & Benefits Hourly base pay range: $25 per hour. Work schedule: Monday through Sunday. Benefits include accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity and telemedicine insurance; eligibility for the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
