Overview
Physical Therapy Assistant, LTAC specialist, located in Waldorf, Maryland, starts 08/24/2026 for 20 weeks on a travel temporary assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $1,545 to $1,636, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 5x8 Days (08:00–16:30). Setting: LTC – Nursing Home.

Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT, following established plans of care.
- Implement and modify treatments targeting mobility, strength, balance, and functional activities.
- Support ROM, gait training, endurance, and functional mobility sessions; assist with transfers and positioning as needed.
- Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team.
- Ensure safety during therapy sessions, maintain equipment, and adhere to infection control and documentation standards.
- Contribute to discharge planning and collaboration with nursing, rehab, and social work teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements
- Active Maryland Physical Therapy Assistant license or current eligibility to practice
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program (associate degree)
- Ability to work in a LTAC/long-term care setting and support a 36-hour weekly schedule
- Availability to start on 08/24/2026 and complete the 20-week assignment
- Prior LTAC or skilled nursing experience preferred
